Dr. Fayyaz Ali Memon is Associate Professor in Water Engineering at University of Exeter, UK. He worked at Imperial College London for about 10 years on Sustainable Urban Water Management Systems. In the domain of sustainable water management, he heads a research group with focus on developing countries. Prof. Dr. Fayyaz research has been focused on alternative water resources, water demand management, technologies for water reuse, sustainable water management in developing countries, decision support systems and hydro informatics. He has over 130 publications to his credit, including over 45 papers in peer reviewed journals (with many in high impact factor journals including Water Research, Chemosphere and Global Environmental Change), over 50 in refereed international conferences, 11 book chapters and 9  co-edited books. Prof. Dr. Memon leads a research group on water management in developing countries, currently consists of 2 associate research fellows (post-docs) and 8 PhD students. Dr. Memon was invited as a guest speaker by several professional bodies: the Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management (CIWEM), The Royal Institution of Public Health Engineers, Chartered Institution of Building Service Engineers, the British Hydrological Society, Higher Education Commission of Pakistan, Universities in Switzerland, Australia, China, Iran and Pakistan.  He is an associate editor for the British Journal of Environment and Climate Change.  He is a member of CIWEM, Chartered Environmentalist, and Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy and a member of the Institution of Civil Engineers.

Profile

Dr. Susit Chaiprakaikeow is the faculty member at Kasetsart University, Thailand as well as a visiting scholar at Asian Institute of 
Technology, Thailand. He has worked as a Teaching Assistant at Utah State University, USA and Mahidol  University, Thailand. He has also served as a Senior Geotechnical Engineer at MAA Consultants Co., Ltd, in
Bangkok, Thailand where he was also the head of Geotechnical Department. He has more than a dozen projects under his name, including SASW Testing at various Utah sites and Terminal Reservoir, Liquefaction Potential Assessment, Study of the stability of Bhumibol Dam under seismic load using dynamic testing, Risk Assessment of Logan Bluff, etc. His research areas include Geotextiles and Geomembranes, Thermal and Thermo mechanical consolidation of Soft Bangkok Clay, Thermo PVD, Logan Bluff Landslide, Seismic Reflection Surveys, Spectral Analysis of surface waves and resonance tests and the study of Optimum Shear Wave Velocity for Cement Stabilized Base and Sub-base constructions using Free-Free Resonance Test. He specializes in geophysical site investigations, dynamic soil properties and geotechnical earthquake engineering.

Dr Naveed Anwar


Dr. Naveed Anwar holds an experience of over 30 years in the structural modeling, analysis and design of buildings, bridges and other structures. Anwar is proficient in the development of software for structural engineering applications, including earthquake resistant design, structural detailing etc. He has conducted professional training for over 3500 professionals in more than 15 countries in several areas related to structural analysis, design, dynamic analysis, nonlinear analysis etc. Anwar is teaching academic courses to Masters and PhD students in Tall Buildings, Bridge Design and Advanced Concrete Design at Asian Institute of Technology. Anwar is the Executive Director of AIT Solutions (AITS), formerly AIT Consulting, established by the Asian Institute of Technology, (AIT).

Prof. Ir. Dr. M. Fadhil is a Professor in Faculty of Civil Engineering, Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, Malaysia. He has remained Head of Civil Engineering Department, UTP (2006-2009) and Founding Dean, Faculty of Engineering, UTP (2011-2013). His research interests include Geopolymer Concrete, Self-Compacting concrete, Self-Compacting geopolymer concrete, Foamed Concrete, Lightweight Concrete, High Performance Concrete, Fiber Reinforced Concrete, Recycle and Reuse of waste materials in different types of concrete and etc. He was invited as Keynote Speaker in Five (05) international summits. He has supervised 13 Ph.D. students and 14 M.Sc. students. Prof. Fadhil has over 200 Journal Publications and more than 250 Conference Papers to his credit including 13 Patents filed and 6 book chapters on various topics of his areas of interest.
