Dr. Susit Chaiprakaikeow
Profile
Dr. Susit Chaiprakaikeow is the faculty member at Kasetsart University, Thailand as well as a visiting scholar at Asian Institute of
Technology, Thailand. He has worked as a Teaching Assistant at Utah State University, USA and Mahidol University, Thailand. He has also served as a Senior Geotechnical Engineer at MAA Consultants Co., Ltd, in
Bangkok, Thailand where he was also the head of Geotechnical Department. He has more than a dozen projects under his name, including SASW Testing at various Utah sites and Terminal Reservoir, Liquefaction Potential Assessment, Study of the stability of Bhumibol Dam under seismic load using dynamic testing, Risk Assessment of Logan Bluff, etc. His research areas include Geotextiles and Geomembranes, Thermal and Thermo mechanical consolidation of Soft Bangkok Clay, Thermo PVD, Logan Bluff Landslide, Seismic Reflection Surveys, Spectral Analysis of surface waves and resonance tests and the study of Optimum Shear Wave Velocity for Cement Stabilized Base and Sub-base constructions using Free-Free Resonance Test. He specializes in geophysical site investigations, dynamic soil properties and geotechnical earthquake engineering.
